Tefilat Ha’Adam congregation

Tefilat Ha’Adam is a Reform congregation active in Caesarea and offers egalitarian prayer services and community festival events

Kehillat Tefilat Ha’Adam holds Kabbalat Shabbat services and festival programs and offers a creative combination of Jewish tradition and innovative Israeli culture. All the services and ceremonies maintain thorough gender equality and encourage maximum participation by community members. The congregation also holds adult Jewish education classes which combine Biblical texts, the writings of the Sages, medieval commentators, and contemporary writers.

The congregation is based in Caesarea, but its members include residents of the surrounding area. Everyone is welcome to join the community circle.

Tefilat Ha’Adam association was established in the summer of 2015 and is a member of the Israel Movement for Reform (Progressive) Judaism. The community is open to the general public in Caesarea and the surrounding area, without cost. The activities are funded by donations from members of the community, income for Liberal religious services (such as funerals, weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah etc.), and support from the Reform movement.

The Goals of Kehillat Tefilat Ha’Adam (KTH):

KTH is a home for high-quality and diverse Jewish cultural activity in the spirit of liberal Judaism, and a part of the Israel Movement for Reform (Progressive) Judaism.

KTH reaches out to the general public in Caesarea and in and around the Carmel Coast Regional Council, with the goal of expanding and promoting Reform Jewish values in the area.

KTH encourages pluralistic Jewish education in the formal and informal education systems.
